Could Matcha tea transform your health?
It's the wonder brew that could help you loose weight, lower your blood pressure and even take care of your teeth...
Green tea has long been on the radar for its health benefits, but Matcha is a cut above. It is a type of Japanese green tea that is grown in the shade, giving it the extra chlorophyll that's responsible for its bright green colour. Just the leaf tips are picked and it is then steamed, dried and stone-ground into a powder.
EAT IT. 'Try Matcha porridge', says Pia Ikkala, owner of London tea shop Piacha. 'Prepare a cup of Matcha and use it to cook the oats. Add coconut milk, honey, nuts, seeds and cinnamon.'
